My colleagues, Gladys and Alberto, and I, had a memorable Memorial Sunday with lunch and a stage musical that were as hot as the midday sun.

First we grabbed a quick bite at Zagat-rated Lucky Devils.

We frolicked along Hollywood Boulevard on our way to the theater.

The highlight of our little afternoon escapade was "Dirty Dancing", a staging of the classic 80s movie at The Pantages Theatre.

Star Sighting

Minutes before the show "Mamma Mia!", Jen and I saw a huddle of media personnel outside Avalon Hollywood along Vine Street.

It turns out to be an auction and concert event, "Heroes for Autism", co-sponsored by Autism Speaks and the cast of NBC's "Heroes".

We were lucky enough to have caught up with the arrival of some of the hit show's cast members.
